Train Car Machining Project
Design and machining of an aluminum train car to meet given specifications. While this was a group project, I took the role as the leader and conducted the CAD work by combining everyone’s design ideas. I have done much more detailed CAD work in the past, but the challenge with this project was considering how each part would be machined especially within the short timeline and limitations of tools and materials. Having a solid CAD design really helped keep our group stay on track and avoid mistakes, making us one of the few groups to finish on time.
