My Story

I was born in Ottawa, Ontario where I lived for only 5 years before moving to Reston, Virginia in the DC area. Here I attended school up until high school. In school I was always technically minded and excelled in the maths and sciences. Outside of school I was always building and creating little projects for fun. It was at a young age where I decided I wanted to be an engineer. When I reached the end of my high school years, this was still what I wanted to do with my life and I went off to the University or British Columbia Okanagan in Kelowna, BC to study Mechanical Engineering.

My Aspirations

Here in university is where my goals began to take shape. In my first year of university, I started to find myself with a specific interest in environmental solution technologies of all kinds. I started reading up on technologies from waste management to clean energy as well as researching issues that require change. I would love to get into a career where I am a part of these positive innovations. As I am just starting my life, I want to keep my radar open to various fields of interest while utilizing my morals as a driving force in my career.

Who I am

Outside of my career goals, I have several passions and hobbies. One of my hobbies is my love of fashion and design. I love crocheting, sewing, and playing with different textiles to create dynamic and fun outfits. The outdoorsy and athletic part of me loves to explore the outdoors and try new things. I have always loved dance and track, but now you’ll find me camping and paddleboarding in the summer or ice skating in the winter.
